Universal Fastening Systems is the UK Trading division of the CIP International Group. Our two Directors have over 40 years experience in the nailing and stapling market.

They have gained unrivalled expertise supplying many different sectors in the UK and other markets throughout the world.

At Universal we believe that fastenings have historically fallen into two categories. The leading brands which are high quality but high on price and low on value for money. Or generic brands which are low quality, low price and also low on value for money. Both typically result in the problem of dissatisfied customers.

At Universal the solution was simple. We decided to develop products that had the appearance and performance of a leading brand, yet were priced like low cost generics. In May 2005 we took the decision to invest heavily in the Industry’s first private European/Chinese joint Venture, with the aim of achieving one very simple goal. Produce top quality branded Products at budget prices.

The Universal brand was therefore born in 2005 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
